Layer Marney Tower is an impressive Tudor Gatehouse (the tallest in the UK) and dates back to 1520. The Tower is complemented by sumptuous gardens and offers fantastic views of the Blackwater Estuary (the estuary of the River Blackwater between Maldon and West Mersea).

2. Hedingham Castle, Halstead
Hedingham Castle, is a stunning wedding venue. It is a 900 year old castle keep and is the best preserved Norman keep in England.
Rising to a height of 110 feet Hedingham Castle has a romantic character all of its own. The castle includes a Banqueting Hall with Minstrels’ Gallery.
The keep lies in 160 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland providing many locations.

3. Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham on Crouch
Built in 1931, the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club is a Grade 2 listed building designed by Joseph Emberton. The building is ‘modernist’ in its design (and, in 1932, it represented Britain in the International Exhibition of Modern Architecture held at New York’s Museum of Modern Art!)
It boasts a splendid design combined with panoramic views over the River Crouch makes it the ideal location for couples seeking a wedding venue that offers a wide variety of indoor and riverside photographic opportunities.

4. Grange Barn, Coggeshall
Grange Barn, located near the market town of Coggeshall in Essex, is a 13th-century monastic barn that provides a very special atmosphere to any wedding. The barn was once an integral part of the Coggeshall Abbey and is one of the oldest surviving timber-framed buildings in Europe.
The barn has been beautifully restored and is now a National Trust property.
The building has high ceilings inside and a stunning red tiled roof. Grange Barn offers plenty of great locations for a photographer to capture that perfect wedding moment, both inside the barn itself and in the surrounding grounds.

5. Rayleigh Windmill, Rayleigh
Built in 1809, Rayleigh Windmill is a Grade II, tower mill in Rayleigh, Essex, that has now been sympathetically refurbished to accommodate wedding parties of up to 20 people.
Located next to a sensory garden and the historic Rayleigh Mount (land that was once the site of an early medieval motte and bailey castle) this venue provides many romantic locations for that perfect and memorable wedding photo.
